Shaklee Polyphenols & Antioxidants

Shaklee Vivix® Polyphenol Supplement

Take a more natural and noninvasive approach toward supporting your health as you age. Scientists did years of research to develop the unique polyphenol supplement Vivix®.

Vivix® was created by a science team with a unique profile of polyphenols shown in laboratory studies to help fight against cellular aging. In addition to ellagic acid, Vivix® also supplies polyphenols such as phenolic acids, ellagitannins, anthocyanins, and proanthocyanidins.

Polyphenol Sources in Vivix®

Muscadine Grape

A nutrition powerhouse with a unique polyphenol profile

Unlike other grapes, the muscadine grape contains an extra pair of chromosomes. Scientists believe this extra genetic information accounts for the grape’s powerful survival mechanisms and unique polyphenol profile.

The skin, seeds, and pulp of the muscadine grape are all extremely rich in a potent mix of polyphenols—natural antioxidants capable of neutralizing the harmful molecules that damage cells and contribute to cellular aging.

Complex Mixture of Polyphenols

Together, red wine extract, purple carrot extract, black currant extract, pomegranate extract, and chebulic myrobalan deliver a complex mixture of polyphenols that have been shown to have potent antioxidant properties.4-7

Resveratrol

Resveratrol is a natural compound found in trace amounts in the skins of grapes, red wine, and peanuts.4

Polyphenols in Vivix are 13x more powerful than resveratrol alone.3

Key Ingredients in Triple Defense Boost

YEAST BETA-GLUCAN
1,3/1,6-Beta-glucans are a class of natural polysaccharides (polymers of sugars) that are present in the cell walls of certain plants and yeast.

Similar polysaccharides are also present in the cell walls of various microorganisms. Because of this, our immune cells regard these beta-glucans as “foreign” and elicit an immune response against them to prepare the body for defense.

REISHI MUSHROOM

Reishi mushroom is a woody fungus that is widely cultivated in southern China. The mushrooms are sorted by hand, washed, sun-dried, and chopped. An extract is produced from the dried material in a process that removes essential oils.

Reishi mushroom has been historically used for thousands of years for immune support.

PANAX GINSENG

Panax ginseng is a slow-growing plant native to Korea and northeastern China that is harvested for its gnarled roots. Roots must mature for 6 years or so before they can be harvested. Panax means “all healing” in Greek.

ELDERBERRY

Elderberry is prepared from the ripe, black berries of the black elder, a tall shrub native to Europe. Elderberries are rich in immune-supporting antioxidants.

QUERCETIN

Quercetin belongs to a group of natural plant pigments called flavonoids that give many fruits, flowers, and vegetables their colors.

Quercetin has potent antioxidant properties and is abundantly found in many fruits and vegetables.

ECHINACEA

Echinacea is a lavender flowering herb native to North America that is rich in antioxidants. The powdered extract is prepared from the dried root and leaves.

VITAMINS & MINERALS

Efficacious amounts of essential vitamins C and vitamin D, plus the mineral zinc.
